Set Description and Contents:

Morisot was very active in the group of impressionist artists. Not only did she participate in their exhibitions, she also bought works of the other artists. She is credited with introducing Manet to the impressionist practice of painting outdoors. She played a leading role in contributing to the impressionist vision. As such she was significant in the first revolution in painting which led to subsequent modern movements.
