Deaf Dream of Dresden
To achieve volume, instead of using parallel lines placed closely together, volume is suggested in this work by the artist's smearing the areas where she desires to show shadow. This is combined with CROSS HATCHING on the back of the seats, which is the placement of a series of parallel lines perpendicular to another series to form dark areas.
