Creative Minds—Out of School is designed specifically for out of school educators
and programs, grades K–5!

This
art-based curriculum by one of the country’s leading experts in hands-on discovery and art explorations for young learners, Cathy Weisman Topal, introduces young people to the
joy and wonder of viewing and creating art. Each lesson capitalizes on children’s natural curiosity and readiness to create.

Big Book includes
brilliant fine art images and
real-world photos, along with clear
process illustrations to demonstrate to young learners how to create their original artworks.
The
Educator’s Edition includes step-by-step support for all educators, whether they are artists or not! Each easy-to-follow lesson includes
key vocabulary in English and Spanish, as well as
literature connections and connections to
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! Illustrations and classroom photos throughout the guide demonstrate how to organize and set up materials.
And the materials for each activity use
everyday art supplies as well as
natural and found objects for limited budgets.
